Charlie's Angels

The Movies

Before Dylan, Natalie, or Alex...or even Kris, Tiffany, or Julie, there was the Charlie's Angels Pilot Movie. On March 21, 1976 one of the biggest things to hit the airwaves in television history began when Charlie's first team of Angels made their way into the homes of America with a 90-minute television movie that introduced the world to Sabrina, Jill, and Kelly...Charlie's Angels. Almost 25 years after that pilot movie, the Angels were re-incarnated when co-producer and actress Drew Barrymore acquired the rights to a remake of the camp classic in 1998. Several delays bombarded the movie, but Barrymore kept pushing to make the movie happen, and finally in November 2000 the Angels were reborn. Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu joined Drew as the new Angels, a new team for a new millennium. The update got amazing ratings and became one, if not THE biggest movies of summer 2000. So a sequel became top priority. Charlie's Angels 2: Full Throttle is due in U.S. theaters June 27, 2003, with Drew, Cameron, and Lucy returning. Original Angel Jaclyn Smith even has a cameo this time around!!!
